One interesting detail that Supergiant has mentioned is that Chronos may have captured Hades during his initial escape. Chronos is now presumed to be marching toward Olympus, where he plans to get revenge on his children. Melinoe's training comes to an abrupt end when Chronos, the Titan father of Hades, Zeus, and many other Olympians breaks free from his Underworld prison. As mentioned up top, players will take control of Melinoe, who is currently being trained by the goddess of witchcraft Hecate alongside fellow mythological figure Nemesis. One figure of myth, in particular, is the heart of the sequels direction: While you don't need prior knowledge of the mythology of Hades to enjoy the sequel, Supergiant shares some interesting facts about Witchcraft and how its integral to many Greek Myths – including some of the most well known myths and those that inspired Hades and Hades 2.
